(Elate!) Updates: New Low Prim Skyboxes and Group Gift

I've recently moved to a new parcel in SL which much fewer prims. I have since come to value my prims like gold. If any of you are in the same boat as me or would just like more prims for decorating purposes on your parcel, I've got two new skyboxes to show you! One of them is only 12 or 13 prims (depending on the version you prefer). Check it out:

(Elate!) Updates: Zoey Pants

For the last few months, I've been a bit MIA from second life. I've been putting all my energy into an ongoing battle with ovarian cancer. The road to recovery has had lots of ups and downs, but I've gotten through it with the help of an amazing support system. Now I'd like to give a little back to my local ovarian cancer charity. I'm donating the proceeds from my teal pants (the color of ovarian cancer) to OutRun Ovarian Cancer (www.oroc.org). This organization funds cancer research, education, and awarness. If you'd like to donate independently, you can also do this via the website.

First, I'm participating in the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser to raise money for the current crisis in Japan. Today is the first day of the event, and already over 1 million lindens have been raised! 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this dress will go to the charity account:

(Elate!) is turning three! Birthdays always make me sentimental. I still remember my very first shop set up in an almost empty mall with only three items in it! I will be forever grateful for the love and support I've gotten from customers and friends these last three years. My success is really due to all of your encouragement over the years! For the next two weeks I'll be reducing the prices of everything in the shop as a gesture of thanks. This includes all clothing, furniture, prefabs, and even the new releases. Everything is 50% off!

I've made some fun little sequin shrugs which will work perfectly over your favorite dresses for a night on the town. These are marked down for the sale, too.

I've also put the pocket watch necklace in the store now that the Seasons Hunt is over. I've also made it in a few more metals. It now comes in silver, gold, pewter, and brass.

The winter Seasons Hunt has begun with a bang, and I've made a new necklace just for the hunt. It's a large antique pocket watch on a silver chain. In the beginning of 2008, when I was first getting the hang of SL clothing design, I created my very first dress, Mae. I have always loved this black and white silk and lace tube dress, but I know that my clothes have improved a lot over the last few years. Instead of waving goodbye to this beautiful dress, I've decided to revitalise it again. I'm happy to annouce the rebirth of the Mae design in a more modern, beautiful new dress called Mei.

Mei is a silk sheath dress with a delicate black lace overlay and is tied by a sculpted silk ribbon. It comes in eight deep, saturated hues. One of these colors is even hidden somewhere in the store as part of the Seasons Hunt which started yesterday.

Such a long post today, but I simply can't help it. I have so much news to share with you!

I'm thrilled to be finally revealing the project that I've been working hard on for the last six weeks. Sunny sim is finally open today with a whole new look! I worked hard to create what is, to me, a virtual paradise, and I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Please feel free to take time and explore all the nooks of this sim. There are many places to relax and enjoy. In order to get the full effect of this new, water-filled sim, please ensure you have Basic Shaders enabled in the graphics tab of the preferences window.

I have many new updates to go along with the reopening. Eva, a brand new dress, is a 20's inspired silk tube dress with a sheer organza layer above it embroidered with delicate sequins. It comes in eight colors.

The Dawn dress has also now been moved from the Summer of Love fair to the mainstore. I'm happy to announce that the Dawn dress raised almost 10000 lindens for Hopeline over the last three weeks that the fair was running. Thank you all so much! For those who missed the first notice about this dress, Dawn is a beautiful ruched ombre dress which drapes elegantly across the body. It comes in six summery color combinations.

For the sim opening, I've made a special sunny color of the Dawn dress which will be free to everyone for the next week! I hope this small token will help me to express the gratitude and love I have for all of you and your support over the years! Love you all to bits!

I've also got a few new prefabs which are part of the new sim build. You can take a bit of Sunny home with you. The first is a peaceful little Japanese hut sitting on stilts.

The second is a quaint little greenhouse that you can fill with all your favorite flowers. I love bright plants and flowers so I just had to have a place to keep all of my favorites on the new sim.

Also, I've introduced a new discount outlet store where many of my older designs can be found at significantly reduced prices.

Can't wait to see all of you at the new sim!

The Summer of Love Fair begins today, and I'm happy to announce that my newest dress will be featured there. Not only this, the dress will be helping an excellent cause. Dawn is a beautiful ruched ombre dress which drapes elegantly across the body. It comes in six summery color combinations, and it's available exclusively at the fair until August 8th. 50% of the proceeds from this new dress will go directly to Hopeline, a national suicide prevention hotline. Information about the Summer of Love Fair:

This fair is intended to raise mental health awareness. All of the items included in the fair are new releases and will not be available anywhere else for the duration of the event. The main purpose of the fair is to de-stigmatise mental health issues. Information and visual aids about mental health and illnesses will be available throughout the venue.

Participating deisngers include TheAbyss, Exodi, Ducknipple, Callie Cline, Boom, Dernier Cri, Exile, The Plastik, Evie's Closet, Rockberry, and soo many more.

Please note: This event is not a charity event. Designers are encouraged, but not required to donate to a charity of their choice. Designers who choose to donate a portion of profits will have indicated such with signs around their items.

Here is a taxi to the Summer of Love Fair. With so many designers participating, it can be difficult to find what you're looking for. Of course you should take your time to look through everything, but if you're in a rush and simply must have the Dawn dress, it can be found in the north west room of the venue.

Remember, Sunny sim is still closed for remodeling so don't try to teleport there to get the new dress. The sim is looking so nice. I can't wait for you all to see it!

A new pair of very geek chic cateye sunglasses:

One pair of these will be free in the Geekgasm hunt. This is a gridwide hunt of 50 stores including Ducknipple, Pig, Posh, Fab.Pony, and many more! Many of the prizes are geek/nerd themed so you know there will be lots of win involved. Here's my prize which can be found in a tiny Rubik's Cube hidden in the mainstore:

(Elate!) Tree Skybox

The newest addition to the (Elate!) prefab collection is a cute little skybox in two color schemes. This skybox makes you feel like you are both inside and outside at the same time. A huge tree occupies the focal point of the room and is surrounded by furniture suspended from the tree's branches. The canopy of leaves doubles as a ceiling. The room comes in both a daytime and nighttime theme.

All of the included furniture comes with custom poses, often changeable with a click.

(Elate!) in the Mixed Up Bunneh Hunt

Who says hunting for Easter eggs is only for kids? This weekend you can hop around 6 sims searching for painted eggs that the Easter bunny carelessly lost while he was hopping around. If you return the eggs to the baskets where they belong, he'll give you prizes for your hard work.

Here's how the hunt works:

1) Head to one of the six participating sims.

2) Find a hidden egg and click on it.

3) Head to the landmark in the folder and wear the object that was in the folder (a small egg).

4) Click the basket at the shop you just teleported to.

Simple!

The (Elate!) egg is hidden somewhere on Sunny and will give you these cute easter dresses when you return it to its basket:

New (Elate!) items at Clothing Fair 2010

It is time again for the annual 9 sim celebration of SL fashion! Despite the maddening lag and the crowds, we all head out every year to explore every corner of Clothing Fair. This year, not only are there over 150 stores to see and talented DJs and musicians to listen to, the sims themselves are beautifully built to represent some of the world's top fahions cities: New York, Tokyo, London, Melbourne, Milan, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, and New Delhi. (Elate!) can be found on the New Delhi sim which is beautiful and colorful with flowers and trees everywhere!

I have several new items to release at Clothing Fair. The first is a cute striped shirt-dress in eleven colors.

The second item is a chic high-waisted skirt with a matching prim belt. The belt is also sold separately for mixing and matching.

I've also made some great basic tights. I've always had a problem finding nice nearly-opaque tights in great colors, so I've made a collection of 20.

All these pieces are great for mixing up. The skirt can be worn with the dress or the dress with the belt and tights. Endless possibilities...

Of course, a Clothing Fair wouldn't be complete without charity items. The following four colors of the new items will have 100% of their proceeds donated to The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

The whole fair is full of beautiful charity items, so make sure you walk around and take a look at the other booths!

Sunny Sim Trick or Treat Event

From now until Halloween, Sunny sim is having a Trick or Treat event!

Instructions are simple:

1) Come to the sim and grab a free HUD from one of the many signs on the sim.

2) Wearing your HUD, search the sim for bones to fill in the spaces on the skeleton.

3) Each HUD piece corresponds to a specific shop on Sunny. When you collect a piece of the HUD, you can go to that shop and click the doorbell next to the front door to get your prize!

Sometimes the doorbells can get confused if there are too many people wearing HUDs and standing near them, so once you get your prize, please move along and let the other little kiddies get their's!

A New Sim!

This weekend, Annette and I are happy to open our brand new sim to the public. You'll find the brand new Decoy mainstore, my own new mainstore, as well as a long list of many of our favorite designers! Take a stroll around the lake and visit shops like Fri.Day, Sugarcube, Tiny Bird, Tuli, and many many more! There is even a little cafe where you can hang out and pick up some really nice free gifts from the vendors.

The sim opens tomorrow, October 3rd, at noon SLT and we'll have a big party to celebrate! I hope to see all of you there!

Elise Dress, Group Gift, and New Rings

Several updates in the past few days! First, for the next two weeks, many of the vendors of Albero and Cioccolata are participating in a Gatcha Gatcha Festival. If you're not familiar with this game, each shop owner puts a machine out and lists the prizes in the machine. You pay a set price (usually between L$10-L$35) and it will give you one of the prizes randomly. It's really fun to try to get different prizes. Even if you can't get the one you had your eye on, you can still get so many really cute things for really cheap! The festival runs until the end of the month.

My Gatcha Gatcha has 6 prizes in it, all brand new! There are two versions of a curvy, retro mod lamp along with 4 colors of my brand new Elise dress. I've included the yellow version of the new dress as a group gift because I love you all so much!! You can get it in the history of my hippo group or by searching "Elate!" in groups and joining there. Here's the ad for the rest of the prizes:

Taxi to the Gatcha Gatcha Festival

Second, I have always loved statement jewelry pieces, and I'm happy to be adding another piece to my small jewelry collection. These have large, square, semi-precious stones encased in sterling silver and can be found both at my mainstore as well as at Jewelry Fair 2009. Jewelry fair began yesterday and should be unlike most fairs you've attended. The organizers have gone to enormous lengths to avoid lagging the sims. You will find no sculpted prims, very minimal scripts, and a layout which allows your computer to rez just a few shops at a time. You should definitely go see all the great designers taking part. Proceeds from auctions and select sales (including some of mine) are going to Oxfam, an international nonprofit group working to end poverty and injustice worldwide.

Updated Cottage and the New Coche Sim

I have made an update to the beach cottage. Now all the walls are texture changeable between 12 different paint colors and the windows have three different tints. You can mix and match to your heart's content! There are a staggering 512 different combinations of windows and walls.

You can head over to the display cottage to play with the color combos. Just click the walls and windows to see them all.

Penelope Dress and More Owl Belts

A new skirt and top set in 8 lovely colors. The skirt is brightly colored and resembles cobblestones or fish scales. The elegant, draped, wrap-around top comes in both white and a color matching each skirt.

Three bits of news for you all! First, I have a brand new summery skirt just put out. Fluffy, sheer, high-waisted and tied with a darling sculpted bow. Available in 10 colors.

Second, I have done a complete remodel of my mainstore and, to make room, I've moved many older outfits into the discount section. All dresses there range from $0 - $50.

Finally, I'm sure that many of you have heard of or attended Rezzable's Black Swan fashion shows in the past. For those who are unaware, these shows are amongst the most prestigious fashion events in Second Life and include some of the best talents on the grid. I'm thrilled and honored to be taking part in the upcoming show. The event will run from the 27th of July until the 17th of August. I'd like to offer a teaser of my creation for the show:

Narrowing 200+ photos down to just three winners was a heartbreaking process for me as I had to eliminate so many photos that I really loved. I've just put out my newest creation, a beautiful, new summery dress. The dress has a gathered halter top with cascading asymmetrical stripes and comes in a variety of vivid colors.

I've sent the blue version of the dress this morning in my update group. Click the terminal in the mainstore to join and get the gift. No group slot required!

I'm also holding a photo contest from now until May 15th. The rules are simple:

- Submit a picture wearing any clothing from Elate. Feel free to mix in acessories or clothing items by other designers, but please try to make the Elate piece the focus.
- Post processing is welcome and encouraged.
- Send your full permission photos in a folder (NOT a notecard) entitled "(Elate!) Photo Contest - your name"
- Make sure photos are at least 512 x 512.
- You may submit as many photos as you wish, but try to send them all in the same folder.
- You are also encouraged to submit your photos to the Elate Flickr group, which can be found at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/elate/

Clothing Fair 2009 and Relay for Life

I'm sure most of you are aware that (and are counting the minutes until) Clothing Fair 2009 opens this morning at 10am SLT. Over 170 of the grid's top designers filling 9 sims with many pieces going to support Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. I'm thrilled to be participating this year. I've made a brand new dress to donate to Relay for Life:

The new Juliet dress is an asymetical dress with a flowy, gathered skirt. Four other colors can be found among many other pieces from my collection at my booth on sim 3.

A new home for (Elate!)

Dense and dark, the colors of Elate's new mainstore on Cupcake are rich and saturated. Jewel-toned dresses stand out against the stained black of the building's wood. The store looks brand-new yet well loved. Ringing the little mall are purple cliffs under a wash of constant rain. Against this backdrop, Elate is housed in a generous loft space, playfully crowned by frothy pink-topped cupcakes. Within, soft arches and columns frame the divisions of space, broken by the fragile fall of paper cranes. Here are housed all of Elate's saucy frocks and separates.

Reflecting the rich colors of the new main store are a set of beautifully textured tanks, the Cupcake Tank Tops. Wrinkled and soft but with a double-stitched neckline, the shoulder straps cross in back to keep in place. The shirt descends in gentle folds to rest over one's hips. There is also a tucked version; the set is available on all layers. The Cupcake Tank Top comes in black, blue, green, pink, purple, red, white and yellow, and are in honor of opening day! The purple version of the tank and a cheeky dark sprinkled cupcake will be dollarbie items from the store's magic fountain.

Also in the shop are two new colors of the sweet flapper frock that put Elate on the fashion map. Felicity now comes in lime and plum as well as the original eight colors. Felicity shakes and shimmies as you move, emphasizing a pretty set of shoulders and a long, long stretch of leg beneath the ruffled torso. The colors were made by request, and are now available to all at the new Elate mainstore!

Elate invites you to come experience the new build, the latest pieces, as well as the classic favorites on Saturday, March 7th at 3pm SLT. One day, in early Febuary of 08', in a nearly deserted mall, a girl set up a small shop with the three dresses she'd worked hard to create. I can't believe we've come so far in so little time. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of your unwavering support over the past year.

/me sheds a tear... my baby is a year old today! Time to throw a party!! I've marked the whole store down 50%. Clothes, furniture, accessories, fatpacks, it's all discounted for the whole week. The sale ends Feb 8th.

Also, a new fountain gift! These adorable heart-shaped aviator glasses are a Valentine's day gift to you all. Just toss a linden in the wishing fountain to get the glasses.

Also, I'm absolutely thrilled to be welcoming my good friend Katx Kirax into the building. She's the creative mind behind the {Bingo} clothing line, and she's taken over a corner of the shop. Her stuff is not included in the sale, but her prices are so affordable, it hardly matters! She has a Valentine's dollarbie in the store along with a few items from her collection. Here's a preview:

New Dresses and Rings!

It's snowing/sleeting/raining/freezing outside in RL! Isn't part of the fun of SL expanding beyond reality? In that spirit, I've made a dress that absolutely screams springtime!

The new dress is a strappy silk tube dress with a very couture attached collar made of dozens of cascading rose petals. Also looks gorgeous without the collar!

I’ve also made cute little matching rings with a miniature rose of each color. The pink one was sent out as a group gift earlier today in my subscriber group. Oh my! A post from Kellie? No way!

Hehe...I thought I should change things up a bit and actually do a blog post for my latest release (something I've gotten out of the habbit of doing.../me blushes).

First of all, big big news: I've done a complete remodel of my mainstore! (Photos later in the post)

I've also finished a new dress and I have some gifts for everyone :)

The new dress is named after my dear friend Nivaya. It took a while to design the perfect dress for this fashionista. Her style, just like her inventory, is always impeccable and varied. I finally created this cute, sleeveless sweater dress with a cap-sleeved undershirt. I knew it would be something she'd be able to accessorize with a belt or leggings or a chunky necklace the way only Nivaya can!

Also, as a gift for all of you who stop by, I've made a magic fountain and stocked it full of my new stockings. Toss a linden in the fountain and make a wish...If you've wished for cute, colorful, patterned stockings, then you're in luck! If you've wished for something else, then perhaps you'll still get your wish (and also some stockings!). :D There are three different color packs given out randomly with each linden tossed in.

As always, to celebrate the new releases and opening of the new building, a party was held with much music, dancing, and merriment. A kind attendee was nice enough to shoot some photos for me and I'll include them here for you all to see the new place:

Dresses, Acessories, and Underthings...oh my!

Yesterday I released a whole bunch of new things in my shop. We've got sexy, pretty, fun, and (best of all) free!

First, the sexy new backless Luanna dress. The slinky fabric drapes perfectly from the high neckline to the plunging back. Comes in four colors and one of them is only $1 this week!

Second, I always love the perfect accessory to an outfit so I've decided to expand my selection a bit and I made these fun skinny belts! They come in 11 different cheery colors:

The last update is sexy and pretty and (if used correctly) fun! Lacey underthings in 8 different colors. Comes with bra, panties, and stockings.

Also, for those of you who did not get a chance to pick up my free bikini a few weeks ago, i've put it in the bag of retired designs in the center of the shop (for free)! Pick them up along with other dresses that I no longer have the space for.

I also was not able to post about my previous update (yikes!) which is a shame because it was such an important one. I'll tack it on here at the end of this update. Many of you who have come to my releases before may know Katx Kirax. She is the adorable, friendly, and talented (Elate!) DJ playing music at every release party! While she is widely known for her mad music skills, I also know her as one of my best friends. :)

So I was thrilled to announce the release of the "Kat" dress. Just as fun, sweet, and colorful as the girl it's named after, this dress has a beautiful lacy texture with a short poofy skirt and a small, cropped jacket. Can be worn with or without the jacket. A black and red jacket are also available.

Two new dresses this week and one of them is starting out at L$1!

The first is Danni, a sleek little number with a pattern that hugs your curves. Comes in 4 metalic colors.

My second new dress is Lise, a bright, cute babydoll style dress with a flower pattern. And since I love you all sooo much, it will be priced at just L$1 for at least the next few days!

Like always, we had a blast at the release party with music and dancing and shopping. This week, however, we had a small change... One of the girls who was dancing with us started passing out hula hoops to everyone! That's when the madness began :)

Perhaps we have a new tradition? Hehe

No, I have not completely forgotten my lovely little blog... I've just been suffering from a severe bout of lazyness when it comes to this space. Hehe :D

I've got lots of things to update you guys about. First, A brand new dress in a whole rainbow of colors. The Annalisa is a lovely, sparkly, flowy dress. The skirt swishes around when you move and then falls perfectly into place.

We had a rockin release party for the dress where we were all dancing in the middle of the shop. (Everyone knows dancing + shopping = more fun than just shopping!) Here are some photos snapped by my wonderful friends:

Yes, that's right... check out the hawt men in the new dress! There were a total of FIVE men, at different times, dancing around the shop in this dress! I didn't get photos of each of them, but there are lots more photos here!

Second, I put the Bridget in Emerald temporarily at just L$1 so if you haven't been by to pick it up yet, go now!

And finally, just today I have made a brand new dress in two color combos and sent one of them out in the group as a gift. :) The second color coming in-store soon! My beautiful friend Persephone Paine has modeled the group gift for me:

New things this week! Yay!

The first is Phoebe. An elegant yet cute little dress made almost entirely out of feathers. It's very tutu-esque, but in a good way :)

Also, by request, I have turned the Felicity Dress into a cropped summery top. Perfect with shorts, denim minis, jeans, whatever...

I'm sure that many of you have seen the posters for I.P. rights protection in shops around SL. To refresh your memories, they are the posters that say things like "Texture theft steals the clothes off our backs." and "I'd rather go bare than wear stolen hair." The campaign encourages everyone to participate and make their own posters so, understanding the importance of the issue, I decided to make one of myself. The photography and artwork was done by the very talented Aldero Akami.

I think he did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Of course, picky picky me insisted on hours of tiny changes. ("Move this up there, please...." "Change this around...") The poor guy deserves an award for putting up with me :D Large version hanging in my shop for all to see!

New Felicity Colors and an Adorable Free Hat!

Yesterday morning I put out three brand new summery colors of the Felicity dress and a cute mini top hat for free. As people began to arrive to get their free hat and look around, Kat (in the yellow) started dancing around in the middle of the crowd. Her adorable dance was quickly contagious and other people started putting their new dresses on and dancing as well! My friend Nivaya (in the blue dress) snapped this awesome picture :) We ended up hanging out for a couple hours as people came in, usually joined us, and then filtered back out. I got to meet lots of awesome people! Runway Show a Huge Success!

Yesterday was our runway show at Tropical Sensations Resort. I was very impressed with the turnout and all the girls did wonderfully! We actually attracted some high profile attention and, of course, we had a blast! I debuted the brand new white version of the Felicity dress and gave it away to one lucky audience member. It's not in stores yet, but don't worry, it's coming soon!

Here's a snapshot taken near the end of the show when all the models came out onto the stage. I'm standing up front in the new Felicity dress. :)

Felicity and a Dollarbie

I am so thrilled to be introducing this new blog for my fashion line (Elate!). My line is full of sweet, flirty, vintage-inspired pieces that belong in every girl's closet. :) I first debuted my line a few months ago with two small stores. Just last week I opened my new mainstore on Cassiopeia Isle, and I also joined Fashion Consolidated, an update group for SL's top designers. I was so elated (hehe) with the open-armed welcome that the FashCon community gave me!

This week I introduced the newest set of dresses for my collection. The first felicity dress I released was a romantic rose-petal red dress with cascading layers that fall sweetly around your curves.

This was quickly followed by three more deliciously juicy colors: a sweet pink, a sexy black, and a flirty baby blue.

Because I had to make room for all my lovely new Felicity dresses, I decided to retire one of my older designs. So for one week I will be marking my Claire dresses at L$1 for all three colors! And I hope you all come pick them up, because after this week they will be locked deep in the Elate vault and out of stores forever!
